Mojang has announced the winner of their latest mass vote for Minecraft.
In this vote, players chose from three potential new mobs to add to the game: Glare, Allay, and Copper Golem. Of these three, Allay received the most votes and earned the right to be added to Minecraft in the future.

What does a Copper Golem do in Minecraft?

The Copper Golem wanders aimlessly, seemingly at random, interested in a nearby button, if any. They feature cute and fun idle animations that involve moving your body parts in circles or turning your head in clock-like circles while making small clicks. When they’re interested in a button, they go to it and click it, emitting the standard redstone signal. Because they are only one block tall, they cannot reach any keys above their level. (Since the copper buttons are not in the OR position, the golem will go to the other buttons.)

The Copper Golem wanders aimlessly, seemingly randomly taking an interest in a nearby button, if one exists. They feature adorable and fun idle animations that involve moving their body parts in circles or turning their head in mechanical circles while making little clicking noises. When they become interested in a button, they walk up to it and click it, emitting the standard Redstone signal. They can’t reach any buttons above their level because they are only one block high. (Since the copper buttons are not in OR, the golem will choose other buttons.)
What happened to the copper golem?
Along with Glare and Allay, the Copper Golem was the third mob in the Minecon Live 2021 Mob Voting. All three of these mobs are friendly mobs with special characteristics. Millions of Minecraft fans were able to vote and choose their favorite mob.
Glare got fewer votes than the other two in the first round. He then he is eliminated in the first round. In the final round between Allay and the Copper Golem, Allay won the vote of the crowd and was released in Minecraft Update 1.19, also known as the Wild Update.
Glare
The Glare mob will be found in extremely dark areas and once you have it as a pet, it will warn you of areas of the world that are dark enough to spawn mobs. These will likely spawn in lush caverns, due to their bushy appearance in the game. This mob would be pretty handy if you were trying to make sure your base is safe from any mob spawns.
