While we haven’t shared a name for the update, we do know what the theme is. It is intended to allow for self-expression through representation.

When is the Minecraft 1.20 update released?
The only definitive information that Mojang has shared about the Minecraft version 1.20 update is that it will be released in 2023. Based on previous update patterns and that Mojang has anticipated that more revelations will be shared for the update in the coming months, this update is likely to arrive in the spring or summer of 2023.
Players eager to try out the content that will be included in the next big Minecraft update can already do so. The first snapshot for Minecraft update 1.20 launched on October 19 and features many of the new features in a beta state, including camels, carved bookcases, bamboo wood, and hanging signs.

During the Minecraft Live 2022 event, Mojang announced that there is no name because other features are still in the works. As new features are released via snapshots, the community will be allowed to test new features. This will allow Mojang to shape updates based on community feedback.
