Minecraft 1.18 Caves & Cliffs: Part 2 introduced a number of new content to the game, but the most notable change was the complete overhaul of the world generation mechanics. One change in world generation that has players excited is the new build height limit, which gives players the ability to build higher than ever before.

How high can you build in the Nether?
Nether is limited to 128 blocks. In the bedrock edition, the height is limited to 128 blocks despite being 256 blocks. This is so because the Nether starts 127 blocks below the level. That’s why it limits the height to 128 blocks.
In horizontal length, Nether is infinite like other Minecraft worlds. As you explore it horizontally, you will see more and there is no end to it.
Minecraft update 1.19 / 1.18 changed the way ores are generated, find out the best levels to mine to find them.
Before the release of Minecraft update 1.18, level Y 12 was the best place to mine ore. This is no longer the case, as Caves and Cliffs Part 2 completely changed the distribution of minerals in Minecraft. Here is our guide to finding coal, copper, emerald, gold, iron, lapis lazuli, diamond and redstone in the best strata.
In Minecraft 1.19 / 1.18, ores are distributed in a triangular pattern, with spawn points increasing and decreasing as players level up and down. This means that the midpoint of a mineral’s appearance is usually the best place to look for that particular mineral, as it has the highest appearance point. The following graphic shows exactly how this manifests itself in the game, and below are more details on each individual ore.
Water Jump
It’s a good idea to build your tall structures in the middle of a lake. This way you can just jump into the water below.
In real life, any jump from this height would be fatal. The world record height in high diving is 59 meters. It was set by Laso Schaller in 2015. 1 block in Minecraft equals 1 meter.
What happens if you exceed the limit of 256?
There is a maximum height of Y=21024 that a player can reach in Minecraft. Once a player exceeds this limit, the game reads the altitude as infinity. When this happens, the player can no longer spin.
Another important fact to mention is that once a player reaches this maximum height, Minecraft will instantly crash and crash with the error received invalid movement player pack. The respective player will then be kicked out of the game. This happens because the game reads an impossible data value.
