If you drop multiple ingots at a Piglin’s feet, the Piglin will start collecting and examining them one by one. After the dedicated exam time of 6s or 8s has been completed depending on the platform, the Piglin will start dropping the items one by one. You can then collect them and add them to your in-game inventory. Once there are no more gold bars to examine, the Piglin will revert to its normal NPC behavior.
Gold bars are the only item accepted by Piglins for bartering. If you drop any other item in front of a Piglin they will simply pick it up and add it to their inventory. This includes weapons, armor, gold nuggets, and gold blocks.

The zombie pigs to zombified
They also changed the zombie pigs to zombified piglets. Their consistency has changed, but they have the same behavior as before.
Just like the villagers, the piglets have a trading system. It’s called bartering and is a bit similar to villager trading.
Find the Piglin
Build the portal to the Nether and illuminate it with flint and steel. Then come in! You want to look for the Crimson Forest, which is the dark red forest with thick dark red fog, or the Nether Desert, which is quite common.
If you wander far enough, you’ll notice that little pigs will appear. Try to get close to them and avoid other hostile mobs like ghasts, magma cubes and hoglins.
Piglin Trades & Bartering
The main interest of the Piglins is that you can trade with them to get a random item. These items come from a lineup, but you’ll get some more often than others. Piglins only trade for gold bars, which you can hand or throw at them on the ground, and they will reward you with one item listed below. The Piglin will stare at the gold bar for a short time, during which you cannot give it another one. Once they put the bar away, you can give them another one and receive a new item.
What happens if I drop several gold bars?
After dropping several ingots at a Piglin’s feet, the Piglin will start selecting and checking them one by one. At the end of the required exam time of 6s or 8s depending on the platform. Then the Piglin will start dropping the items one by one. You can then choose them and add them to your in-game inventory. When there are no more gold bars to test, the Piglin will revert to its normal NPC behavior.
