Portal 2’s final moments see Chell (the player character) launch a portal to the moon and drag the corrupted construct Wheatley with it. During that fight, GLaDOS manages to regain control of the facility just in time to send Wheatley into space and rescue Chell. GLaDOS then explains that they learned the value of humanity and set out to free Chell. Chell is then sent in an elevator out of the facility which is completed by a chorus of attack drones conducting a symphony in her honor. Eventually, Chell exits the facility and enters a huge cornfield. As the screen begins to glitch, Chell looks over her shoulder to see a battered companion cube emerging from the escape hatch.
Like many of the endings on this list, Portal 2’s ending is subject to a reasonable amount of debate and interpretation. Elements of the game’s ending strongly suggest that all is not as peaceful (or even real) as it might seem. However, this is one case where I think the simplest explanation may also be the most satisfying.
Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura recently provided Famitsu with some new information regarding the upcoming 3DS iteration. Among a few other tidbits, Nomura is confident that Kingdom Hearts 3D will boast the longest ending cutscene of the entire series, and that during the course of said scene, the true form of series villains Ansem and Xemnas will be revealed. Of course, he didn’t elaborate on the fact that this realization will most likely ask more questions.
As long as something like this doesn’t work, I’m fine: “Now you know my true form! Now you will see me as I really am! I… am… KINGDOM HEARTS!”
What led Simon to become a murderer?
Episode 6 of The Longest Night begins with us on the roof, with Simon who teases Hugo and tells him to make the call. With no working phones inside the prison, he needs to think fast otherwise Laura will die.
In 2015, we see Simon going about his day; a repeating cycle eating boiled eggs, waking up at 7:10 and settling into a quiet life. After scalding his hand in boiling water one day, something inside Simon snaps. He stabs his partner numerous times, leaving her to bleed in his hands. While looks to the sky, lets out a satisfied sigh, as it seemingly finds its purpose.
