What does F2 do in Minecraft?

  1. Instead of dropping one item at a time, hold CTRL + Q to immediately drop entire stacks of items.
  2. Quickly transfer items between open containers and your inventory (and vice versa) by holding down the Shift key while clicking on the item. This will automatically send the items or stacks to the opposite storage (container to inventory, inventory to container). Note that this won’t work if the container is closed.
  3.   Here’s how you can quickly transfer all items of one type from a chest or container to your inventory. Suppose you find a chest full of different potions of water breath, arrows and iron nuggets. If you just want to transfer water breath potions, take one of the potions, hold shift + double click (left click). All items of that type will be moved to your inventory immediately.

Make sure your keys are not being changed

One of the main reasons why your function keys may not work properly could be due to switching. Togging is an effect of switching functions or states. If they are, try disabling toggling.

Some systems, especially people using laptops, may need to press the F7 key in combination with the other function keys as they have multiple uses.
