Solution to the error “Unable to save download. cs_cz.lang”
Some Minecraft PC players report receiving the error “Unable to save download. cs_cz.lang” after the game update failed. It has been confirmed that this issue occurs with many game versions on a wide range of PC configurations.
To fix this problem, you should start by ensuring that the game launcher is running with administrator access. If you have already ensured that the Minecraft launcher has administrator access , check to see if you have any programs installed that are known to cause incompatibility with Minecraft; for example Bytefence and Reason Security antivirus are usually reported as the cause of the error.
If you encounter this problem in the Java version of Minecraft, you should ensure that you are running the latest end-user version of Java to avoid this error.
First method: Minecraft opened as administrator
It turns out that this issue may be the result of a permissions problem that occurs because the Minecraft application does not work with administrative access. Several affected users have confirmed this problem, and the game seems to require administrative access to download and overwrite game files.
To open Minecraft with administrative access, simply right-click the executable you are using to run the game and click Run as administrator in the pop-up menu that appears.
See if this operation is successful and if you can update your game without getting the same error as before.
In case the problem goes away, you can make this change permanent and make sure that this launcher always has administrative rights by default when you open it. To do this, right-click on it and select Properties from the context menu. Then go to the Compatibility tab and check the Run this program as administrator checkbox and click Apply to save the changes.
Method 2: Uninstalling the antivirus that causes the problem
It just so happens that one of the most common reasons for the error “Unable to save download. cs_cz.lang” is due to antivirus. This is legitimate anti-malware software, but Minecraft users have reported that it is primarily ByteFence that causes the error in Minecraft.
Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed way (yet) to allow you to use this anti-malware and play Minecraft, so you will have to choose between the two.
You will need to either uninstall Bytefence completely or install another anti-virus. Follow the instructions below to do so:
1- Press Windows + R. Then in the run program, type ‘appwiz.cpl‘ into the text box and press Enter to open the program.
2- Once you are inside Programs and Features , go to the right side section and scroll down through the list of installed programs until you find Bytefence.
3- Una vez que haya encontrado el programa que desea desinstalar, haga clic derecho sobre él y seleccione Desinstalar . Ahora intenta ingresar nuevamente a Minecraft.
