FIX : “Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset” ?
In this article I bring you the solution for a connectivity problem ” Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset” which is due to the last Minecraft update and occurs when trying to join certain servers.
This error however allows you to join the server but after a few minutes the error appears for example when you try to write something in the chat or when you are simply building out of nowhere.
Steps to fix the error : “Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset”.
1– To fix this error you must go to the “Launcher” and then to “Installations“. You must click on “New Installation” as shown in the following image:
2– In the section “NAME” designate it with the name you want. In “VERSION” put the version you want to use, in my case I use optifine and this is the version I will choose. Now comes the important part which is the button with the name “MORE OPTIONS“.
3– In “MORE OPTIONS” is where the magic happens. We will have to find the most recent JAVA version and for that we will have to click on “BROWSE“.
You must find where you have installed it, which is usually the following path : Program Files(x86)>Java>java16>bin>java.exe
After selecting the most recent Java version just click on the CREATE button.
4- The problem will be solved after following these steps but you must also modify the rendering distance, you must lower it to 12 .
