How to FIND DIAMONDS in MINECRAFT 1.19 (Java/Bedrock)?



In this article we will show you the best way to find Diamonds in Minecraft 1.19 in both Java and Bedrock. This trick to find Diamonds works in all versions of Minecraft.

But before we show you the best technique to find diamonds let’s see where the diamonds are in this new version of Minecraft 1.19.

What is the best level to find diamonds in Minecraft 1.19?

In Minecraft 1.19 diamonds start around Y 16 and increase their presence as you go down being level -58 the best level to find diamonds.

While level -58 is the best level to find diamonds in Minecraft 1.19 beware of lava as it is very likely that you will also encounter it while digging.

If you want to stay safe and not encounter lava level -54 will be the right level for you, although of course the higher the risk the more benefits so in -58 there will always be more diamonds.

On the -58 layer you are not only more likely to encounter Diamonds, you are also more likely to encounter Redstone.

In conclusion the best layers to mine are the following:

  • Diamonds and Redstone: -58
  • Emeralds: 256
  • Coal: 95 – 135
  • Copper: 47
  • Iron: 14

The mining mechanics of the game changed so it is necessary that we know what is the best strategy to get diamonds fast in Minecraft 1.19.

The first thing you should do is to get a pickaxe with fortune 3 as it is the one that allows you the highest efficiency in collecting diamonds. You must also carry a bucket of water to avoid lava.

Then you must go to level -58 and start digging in a straight line 100 blocks forward. After you have reached the 100th block you must dig either to the left or to the right, this is not important, dig three blocks forward.

At the third block dug you must turn to the left, i.e. in the direction where we started digging the 100 blocks. We will dig the 100 blocks again in the direction of the beginning of the previous tunnel, which at the end should look like this:
