How to make Piglins friendly

Piglins respect the drip. They respect him so much that they won’t attack you if you’re wearing golden armor. It doesn’t even need to be a complete set. Any piece of armor will do.

Just make sure you put it on first and take it off after you actually come into contact with the Piglin. Otherwise, you will still be attacked.

How to trade with the Piglins

The first thing you need to do is craft at least one gold helmet. If you can craft or have any other golden armor, that will be fine. Make sure to equip any gold armor pieces before entering the Nether, as this will prevent the Piglins from attacking you.

You’ll also need to make sure you have plenty of gold bars with you before heading to the Nether. This is the only thing you can use to trade with Piglins.

Piglin Behavior

Piglins are naturally hostile towards players if the difficulty is anything but Peaceful. However, there are some ways to distract or calm them down.

• Leave objects: piglins are distracted by most objects related to gold. This distraction only lasts a short time. If you drop a gold bar, they’ll also give you something back! The list of what they might give you is shown in the Piglin Trades & Bartering section below.
• Put on the golden armor: if you go to the Nether from 1.16 onwards, we recommend that you change your boots or helmet to golden armor instead of diamond or netherite. Piglins will not be inherently hostile towards players with a gold piece of armor equipped.
  • This does not apply to Piglin Brutes. Whether or not you’re wearing gold armor, Piglin Brutes will attack you.

Piglins like gold bars

To trade with a Piglin you simply approach them and drop a gold bar. The Piglin will examine the item for a short time and then you will receive an item in exchange for the ingot. The Piglin will be friendly to you if you wear the golden armor . Any piece of gold armor will make the Piglin non-hostile.
