How do I make Minecraft run smoothest?

Playing a video game with high graphics settings is a different level of joy, but when you play the game it will slow down, so this will interrupt your game again and again. This is because the game video settings are not adjusted accordingly. If you want a smooth experience, we recommend changing the video settings so that we can improve your gaming experience.

  1. First, you need to open Minecraft on your laptop. After opening the game, press the ESC button and click on Options.
  2. Select Video Settings and change Graphics to Fast. You will see a change in the graphical details in the game and it will improve the game performance as well.
  3. Now lower the render distance in video settings. Lowering the draw distance will add more fog to your game. You have to try 8 blocks or less because it will give a huge performance boost.
  4. After the previous step is done, set Cloud to Fast or Off. Removes a sleek look and gives better performance.
  5. Change Particles to Diminished or Minimal. This option gives you particle effects like smoke from a fire. By reducing this effect you will get good speed and performance.
  6. After this Turn off the shadows of the Entities. This effect gives you a shadow like effect on mobs and other creatures. Disabling Entity shadows will make the game appear less realistic, but will improve performance.
  7. When you have a decent graphics card installed, turn on the VBOs because it doesn’t work if you don’t have a graphics card. This can help improve performance.
  8. Set Smooth Lightning to Off or Minimum. By reducing the lightning details you can play games without interruptions, especially on older laptops.

Close unnecessary and unwanted programs

Background programs severely affect Minecraft performance. Many programs take up a lot of space on your PC and slow down the speed of the game. Just open the task manager to terminate these programs.

  1. Open task manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc together
  2. Click on end task choosing the program

Make the game a little easier.

Doesn’t that sound like friendly advice?

Max Framerate

While playing video games, even if you don’t notice it, you are just moving a lot of static images from one to another. The more images (or “frames” as we call them) you see in a second, the smoother the experience becomes. But this is limited by the refresh rate of the monitor. If your monitor has a 60Hz refresh rate, you can only see 60 FPS. And since most monitors are set to this exact number, there’s no reason to output more frames than 60. So setting this option to 60 FPS makes more sense.

Mute Minecraft sounds

If you want Minecraft to run faster, you can mute the in-game sound. Although you may feel a little calm, it is necessary. To speed up Minecraft by muting the sound:

  • Go to Options > Music and sounds.
  • Turn off music and audio.
  • Now play and check the effect.
