There is a good review of the village mechanic on the Minecraft Wiki. In order for two villages to be safely treated as separate villages, they must be at a distance greater than radius + 32 blocks from each other. Not that the radius is defined as: The distance from the center point to the furthest door -OR-
A player must be within 80 blocks of the village horizontally and within 44 blocks vertically.

How to raise villagers in Minecraft Bedrock
Raising villagers in Minecraft Bedrock isn’t much different from doing it in Minecraft Java. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Find or build a village with one or more buildings (only four walls, three blocks high, no roofs, etc. needed). This process forms your new village.
- There should be three times as many beds as there are adult villagers in your village: two for the parents and one for the child. Include two or more empty blocks above them.
- Trade at least once with your villagers. This step may not be necessary, but if the villagers don’t have the “will” to reproduce, this process can help.
- In order for the villagers to be willing to reproduce, make sure they get 14 food points: bread gives 4 points and carrots, potatoes and beets give 1 point. Feed (throw) it to your villagers.
- Leave two villagers alone in a building. In Minecraft Bedrock there are male and female villagers, but it doesn’t matter for playing.
- Check the building in about 20 minutes. A villager should appear and claim the extra bed.
- You can now make the two villagers mate again if you move the child out of the room. Of course, their “will” must exist once again and there is also a “waiting” period.
What happens if a villager doesn’t have a bed?
If a villager doesn’t have a bed, he won’t be able to sleep. You will observe the following things:
- Your villager’s working capacity begins to decrease day by day.
- Your villager will no longer be active and alert.
- You will not be able to protect your villager from natural disasters.
Build a place for the villagers
The mood of the villagers is highly dependent on the availability factor. Make sure they are not in an angry mood. Villagers tend to get angry whenever you destroy their beds or workstations. Therefore, give them a reason to be happy. Just make new homes for them to stay in and let them do their thing.
You just need to add beds (even for the new baby), a workbench and a chest and you should be good to go. You can make it grand or minimalist depending on your taste. However, the size of the house will have no effect on the villagers.
How to get wool
Sheep are the fastest way to get wool if you don’t have a village nearby. You can kill sheep or shear them with the Shears tool to get one to three blocks of wool. Sheep will shed whatever color of wool is on their body.
Villagers are also a great way to get wool, as many of them spawn with multiple decorative wool blocks. You can collect them without the villagers getting angry, so collect as many as you like.
