Villagers can be raised in different ways.
Find a village. On the map, villages appear in random locations. Wait patiently. It may take some time to find a village. A village can be found in a biome such as a plain, desert, taiga, or savannah. There must be at least two villagers.
Minecraft Vilager Breeding FAQ
Villagers aren’t the only species that can be farmed in Minecraft. You can also raise pets, tame animals, such as horses, donkeys, cows and even bees! Each animal species has different husbandry requirements. So, to raise horses, you have to feed them a golden apple or a golden carrot. Cows, goats and sheep are willing to reproduce after eating grain. The pigs will eat carrots, potatoes and beets, like the villagers, even if you only need one instead of 12.
So why do we have to raise villagers?
Villagers, as you already know, live in randomly spawning villages in the overworld. They are good sources of emeralds as well as armor and enchanted weapons. But the disadvantage of a village is that they are also the target of villager raids. This means that the population of villagers could rapidly decrease and this could potentially wipe out an entire village. Your job, as the player, is to defend the village and become the “hero of the village”. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to successfully multiply villagers.
Farming villagers is simple and will only require a little intervention on your part to get them going. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to raise villagers in Minecraft:
Build a place for villagers
The villager’s mood is highly dependent on the availability factor. Make sure they are not in an angry mood. Villagers tend to get angry whenever you destroy their beds or workstations. Therefore, give them a reason to be happy. Just make new homes for them to stay in and let them do their thing.
You just need to add beds (even for the new baby), a workbench and a chest and you should be good to go. You can make it grand or minimalist depending on your taste. However, the size of the house will have no effect on the villagers.
Your reputation will vary depending on the village you visit. It changes in every single Minecraft village. They range from a whopping -30 all the way up to +30. You will start the game at 0. To increase your reputation you can trade with the villagers and improve yourself by improving their professional skills.
Now, don’t go and do anything that will make your fellow villagers look negatively because, as with an increase in reputation, it will also decrease. Your reputation may be in danger of diminishing if you start attacking villagers and their offspring.
