Each animal species has different husbandry requirements. So, to raise horses, you have to feed them a golden apple or a golden carrot. Cows, goats and sheep are willing to reproduce after eating grain. The pigs will eat carrots, potatoes and beets, like the villagers, even if you only need one instead of 12.

Steps to raise villagers in Minecraft

First, the most important thing you need is a place for the villagers: a house with a door, bed and walls. If a player is interested in actually creating a village in Minecraft, he can build houses for the villagers. These houses would be where the “breeding” of the villagers would take place. The most important component is the bed in this whole environment.

Find a village. In the game world, villages appear in random locations. There are villages in the plains, desert, and savannah biomes.
There must be at least two villagers. Patience is a virtue. It is not always easy to find villages. Finding one may take some time. Track your location using the map you get at the start of the game.
Track particles
Villagers go into love mode if they have enough food. A mating session consumes about 12 units of food. The player can control these modes by observing the particles above a villager’s head. Hearts indicate love mode while angry particles together with hearts indicate there are not enough beds to mate.
Particle mechanics can be extremely useful in identifying the different traits of villagers. Villagers will also show angry particles if the population limit is reached. You must expand the village in this scenario to accommodate as many villagers as needed.
Step-by-step guide to raising villagers
- Find a village or build it.
- Prepare your buildings by adding doors.
- There should be three times as many doors as adult inhabitants.
- Ensure a minimum of three beds in the breeding room with two empty blocks above each bed.
- Trade with your villagers, once will be fine.
- Make sure there are 3 loaves of bread, 12 carrots and 12 potatoes per villager in the inventory.
- Feed your villagers
- Give them some privacy, leave two villagers alone in a building.
- 20 minutes later a villager should arrive!
If you are unfamiliar with a new village, be sure to clear it of looters, summoners, zombies, etc. You don’t want them to spoil the fun.
